May 11, 2017 – With the aim of better informing its residents and celebrating successes, the City of Timmins has launched a new seasonal newletter.

The results from an internal Communications Audit, which was presented to Council in January 2017, recommended the development of a seasonal newsletter. The goal is to produce a quarterly bulletin, providing residents with information the City feels is relevant and of interest based on the current season.

“We hope you will find value in reading this newsletter and learn more about our operations and our valued employees, who work hard to provide you with city services,”

said Corporate Communications Coordinator Heather Duhn.

“If there are municipal matters you would like to learn more about, we encourage you to contact us with any questions, comments and suggestions. Emails can be sent directly to me at”

Those who have subscribed through the City’s website to receive all communications, news releases and/or public notices, as well as those signed up for the former Timmins 2020 newsletter will automatically receive the Municipal Minute, with the option to unsubscribe at any time. Others who wish to sign up for the newsletter can sign up here:

Printed copies will also be made available at various City facilities such as City Hall, the Timmins Public Library and C.M. Shields Library, the Tourism office, and the Golden Manor.
