CITY PARTNERS WITH MOOSE FM IN ‘NO-KAYAK’ GRAND PRIX

July 26, 2018 – Moose FM is the latest partner to join the City of Timmins’ 10th Annual Great Canadian Kayak Challenge and Festival, with the introduction of the ‘No-Kayak’ Grand Prix.

On Friday, August 24, Moose FM is inviting you to be silly, crazy and zany with your no-kayak designs. “Boats can be constructed of any recycled material. They must be able to float (even momentarily), hold three people AND be assembled off site. Boat kits/pre-fabricated hulls will not be allowed. Boats must be powered by people or wind – NO MOTORS.” And they say, the crazier your theme the better.

“This is such a fun and unique challenge,” said Manager of Tourism and Events Guy Lamarche. “We like to offer a non-competitive, fun option every year. While there will be prizes for the Best Team Spirit and Quickest Time, this challenge really encourages creativity and a bit of silliness. We are so pleased to have Moose FM as a partner in growing the festival.”

“We are really excited about this event,” added Moose FM Regional Cluster Program Director/Afternoon Show Host Shane Button. “It’s a great way to do some team building with coworkers, or working together as a family. It’s all about having fun, being silly and doing something different.”
