“Over the years snowmobile tourism operators and the hospitality industry have capitalized from our long winters and the sport of snowmobiling,” said Guy Lamarche, Manager of Tourism and Events. “With our long and predictable winters, we continue to position the City of Timmins in various key markets, as the ultimate snowmobile destination. With hundreds of kilometres of perfectly groomed trails, we play host to thousands of visitors who come here from Ontario, Quebec and the USA to enjoy what we take for granted, white gold.”
“Snowmobiling has been a part of Timmins’ culture since the late 1950s,” added Timmins Snowmobile Club Vice-President Marc Lapalme. “If you live in Timmins you most likely know what a snowmobile is. More than this, the OFSC is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and the TSC has been a member of the OFSC for over 25 years. Snowmobile week in Timmins signifies yet another great example of how important organized snowmobiling is to our community and the Timmins Snowmobile Club, along with the OFSC, are very proud to provide our members with the Best Snowmobiling Trails!”
