NOTICE OF COMPLETE APPLICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT, FILE NO. 2017-06

TAKE NOTICE that the City of Timmins has received a complete application from 1630648 Ontario Limited, Dan Katic (Norfab Metal & Machine) for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Timmins will hold a public meeting on Monday, August 21, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 220 Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins, to gather public input regarding a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P. 13, as amended.

Applicant:        1630648 Ontario Limited, Dan Katic (Norfab Metal & Machine)

Location:         Concession 4, Part of Lot 6, Registered Plan 6R6941, Part 4, Parcel 5506WT, Whitney Township, City of Timmins (7117 Hwy. 101 East)

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone a portion of the subject lands currently zoned Light Industrial (Class I) (EA-I1) to Light Industrial (Class I) (EA-I1) SP6.162 to permit all uses in the Light Industrial (Class I) (EA-I1) zone and a dance studio, to be located in the existing shop, on the subject lands.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Timmins before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the City of Timmins to the Ontario Municipal Board.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the City of Timmins before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing or an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
