NOTICE OF COMPLETE APPLICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT, FILE NO. Z-2018-09

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Timmins will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City of Timmins, 220 Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins, Ontario, to gather public input regarding a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P. 13, as amended.

Applicant:        Micheline Cloutier

Location:         Plan M8T, Lot 83, Parcel 3594WT, Tisdale Township (476 Rochester Avenue)

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the subject lands from Residential Second Density (NA-R2) SP6.119 to Residential Second Density (NA-R2).  The applicant is seeking to remove the special provision from the subject lands that allowed for a professional office to be permitted on the ground floor and convert the area into a residential dwelling unit.  There is also a residential dwelling unit located on the second story.  The Residential Second Density (NA-R2) zone allows for two residential dwelling units to be located in the building.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Council of the City of Timmins to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Timmins before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the City of Timmins before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the City of Timmins on the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to Steph Palmateer, City Clerk, City of Timmins, 220 Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins, Ontario, P4N 1B3.
