NOTICE OF COMPLETE APPLICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT (TEMPORARY USE), FILE NO. Z(TU)-2018-02

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Timmins will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City of Timmins, 220 Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins, to gather public input regarding a proposed Temporary Use Zoning By-law Amendment.

Location:        Concession 1, Part of Lot 10, Parcel 12345 SEC, Mountjoy Township, City of Timmins (3449 Highway 101 West)

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to allow a temporary campground which will accommodate camp sites and recreational vehicle spots on the subject lands.  The proponents are requesting approval for this use from June 15, 2018, to July 7, 2018, to allow for site preparation, operation and decommissioning of the temporary campground.  The temporary campground will operate between June 22, 2018, and July 3, 2018.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment for a temporary use.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Council of the City of Timmins to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Timmins before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the City of Timmins before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
