Overnight Winter Parking Ban Now In Effect

With winter upon us, please be reminded that the winter parking ban, as in previous years, is now in effect.  Beginning November 1st until April 30th, any vehicle parked on the street between the hours of 11:30 pm to 7:30 am will be subject to a $50.00 fine and the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense (unless you are in an area exempt from the winter parking ban, in which case, signs would be posted stating such).

Additionally, during winter months, Public Works Roads Department regularly performs snow removal and it it important that you ensure your vehicle is not on the street when winter road maintenance signs (yellow and red in colour) are posted.  Any vehicle found interfering with snow removal will be subject to a $50.00 fine and the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense.

IMPORTANT:  Please do not expect a knock at your door to advise of winter road maintenance, or snow removal.   Fine and towing charges are not only costly, they are avoidable.
