March 24, 2020 - Yesterday, the Government of Ontario ordered the mandatory closure of all non-essential workplaces. This closure will be in effect for 14 days with the possibility of extending this order as the situation evolves. Municipal emergency services include police and fire services remain in place. Additionally, services ensuring our critical infrastructure including roads, water and wastewater, and sanitation/landfill services will continue.

Inquiries about municipal government services through Service Timmins will continue to be accessible online at https://service.timmins.ca/ or by telephone at 705-264-1331.

We remind you that this is a critical time to ensure we are all promoting and following the important public health measures:
• Social distancing – staying 2 meters apart from others, avoiding crowds
• Staying home and reducing trips out for essentials only
• Staying home and self-isolating for 14 days after any international travel
• Staying home if unwell – call public health or primary care provider if any cough, shortness of breath, and/or fever
