Skate Path at Hollinger Park
The Skating Path at the Hollinger Park will open for public use on December 24, 2020.  With the mild temperatures that we have been experiencing within the City, the project was delayed until Mother Nature cooperated.

“This is the second year with the skating path at the Hollinger Park.  I am very proud of our team for the work that they have put in to get the skating path ready for our residents,” said Mark Jensen, Director of Community and Development Services.

With the new Christmas Lockdowns in effect, the skate path will remain open.  “Although the skating path will be open to the public, use of the Timmins Community Park Association trailer for a change room will not be permitted and the public washrooms will also remain closed. Also, there will be no organized public events planned at this location.  Any member of the public who wishes to use outdoor ice pads or the skate path will have to respect the 2m social distancing rules and cannot play sports like hockey on such surfaces,” explained Mr. Jensen.

With the new COVID-19 lockdowns in effect, we encourage residents of the City of Timmins to get outdoors and enjoy the vast nature we have at our fingertips.
