Increase in Set Fines 
The City of Timmins would like to advise that Municipal Parking Lot Set Fines have increased, effective March 3, 2021.  

According to City Clerk Steph Palmateer, the by-law has not been updated in almost a decade.  “On December 8, 2020, City Council approved the by-law to increase the set parking fines.  The voluntary payment within five days has increased from $8 to $16.  After the five days, the fine is now $20, up from $12.  Previously, Timmins had some of the lowest rates in Northern Ontario and we wanted to be more on par with other municipalities.  The rates also had not been updated since 2014 and we felt that it was time to revisit those fees.”
