City Hall Flags at Half-Mast in Honour of Late City Alderman and "Voice of the North"  
The flags at Timmins City Hall will be lowered for the remainder of the week in honour of Daniel “Dan” Kelly following his passing on August 21, 2021.

Dan Kelly was an Alderman for 20 years with the Town of Timmins and later the City of Timmins and a member of the inaugural council of the City of Timmins in 1973. A dedicated community supporter, he was known for not only his contributions to various organizations and causes, but also his commitment to the people of Timmins.

Dan Kelly was also known as the “Voice of the North.” As a popular radio personality with CKGB, he hosted a number of local programs and shows that celebrated life in Timmins. He was considered a broadcasting pioneer in a career that spanned 30+ years.

Daniel “Dan” Kelly will be remembered as a true leader of the community and for his devotion to his hometown. Please join the City of Timmins as we extend our condolences to his many family and friends.
