Planned Work at Timmins Memorial Cemetery
Between Monday October 4th and Monday November 2nd, Hydro One will be refurbishing equipment on two transmission towers and overhead lines located in the Timmins Memorial Cemetery to support a safe and reliable supply of power to customers and communities in the region.

Hydro One is working closely with the Timmins Memorial Cemetery to ensure work is completed safely and respectfully.

Work will take place on one tower located in the back southwest of the cemetery, near the Columbarium and one tower located at the northeast end of the cemetery, near the parking lot. Work will also be carried out on the overhead lines that connect these towers. A platform will be installed to protect monuments near work areas and some roads within the cemetery may be closed intermittently throughout the month to ensure safety where there is active work.

Between Sunday October 17th and Friday October 22nd, access to the Cemetery will be limited to the parking lot entrance in the northeast corner while Hydro One conducts important work on the overhead lines. Visitors will be encouraged to enter the cemetery through the parking lot.

Normal construction hours will occur from Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 5:30pm with weekend work anticipated between October 30th – 31st. Residents are encouraged to contact the City of Timmins Memorial Cemetery at 705-360-2615 or [email protected] for further information or any questions.
