Community Home Support Drivers Needed 

Help Needed for Seniors in your Community to get to their appointments!

Community Home Support provides programs and services to promote the physical, emotional and social well-being for seniors in our community.

Drivers report to the Community Home Support Supervisor, Golden Manor.

This position requires the use of your own personal vehicle. You are responsible for the care and maintenance of your vehicle. Drivers receive a per kilometer allowance as per the City of Timmins mileage policy, plus monetary compensation which is calculated according to the number of rides given over the course of the month. Payment is monthly.


  • Pick up and drop off clients according to a daily schedule
  • Assist clients in and out of the vehicle and assist them with walkers as required
  • Provide assistance to the clients in facilities as requested
  • Keep accurate records and complete daily paper work
  • Promote and maintain a high standard of customer service that is client focused
  • Must maintain compliance with Health and Safety Regulations, Ontario Traffic Safety Act, MTO Regulations and internal Community Home Support policies and procedures
  • Participate in team meetings as required
  • Maintain open lines of communication with other transportation drivers to maintain an effective exchange of information, coordinate schedules and ensure continuity of care for our clients


  • 5 years of driving experience 
  • Proof of a valid Class G driver’s licence and a current clear driver’s abstract
  • Must have had a criminal background check with a vulnerable sector screening within the last six months
  • Copy of Insurance policy
  • Previous experience working with seniors
  • Good physical condition to support client’s mobility and able to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Fluent in French and English a definite asset
