Snow Removal Operations Week of March 13 to March 18, 2022 

Please note: The scheduled snow removal plan or parts of the plan may be changed at any time and/or delayed if a winter storm is in effect or due to mechanical issues. The snow removal crew will change to a snow plowing operation in the event of inclement weather. Those streets that may not be done will be re scheduled on the next available snow removal shift.

Night Time Snow Removal 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM

From March 13 to March 18, 2022, the Public Works Department has scheduled snow removal in the following areas:

Sunday, March 13 starting 9:00 PM

Timmins North: Denise (Westmount to Lonergan), Westmount (College to Airport Road)

Monday, March 14 starting 9:00 PM

Timmins North: Pine North (Sixth to Brousseau)

Tuesday, March 15 starting 9:00 PM:

Timmins North: Suzanne (Lamminen to Lonergan), Riverpark (Suzanne to Airport Road), Lonergan (Lalonde to Airport Road)

Wednesday, March 16 starting 9:00 PM:

Timmins South: Pine South (Kirby to Crystal)

Daytime Snow Removal 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

From March 14 to March 18, 2022, the Public Works Department has scheduled daytime snow removal in the following areas:

Monday March 14 starting 7:30 AM:

Timmins South: Kent (Mountjoy to Cameron), Wende (Mountjoy to Cameron)

South Porcupine: Crawford (Golden to Julie)

Tuesday, March 15 starting 7:30 AM:

Timmins North: Cedar (Sixth to Jubilee), Birch (Sixth to Ninth)

South Porcupine: Moore (Quebec to Harold), Julie

Wednesday, March 16 starting 7:30 AM:

Timmins North: Rea N (Powerline to Jubilee), Powerline

South Porcupine: Bloor (Lakeview to Legion), Goldrush (Lyall to Tisdale)

Thursday, March 17 starting 7:30 AM:

Timmins North: Borden (Mountjoy to Dead end), Laurier (Mountjoy to Rea), Jade (Maclean to Waterloo)

Schumacher: Dwyer (Hollinger to Boundary), Boundary (Fourth to Father Costello), Les Hall, Hollinger

Friday, March 18 starting 7:30 AM:

Illegal placement of Snow from Residential Property onto Sidewalk and Road:

A reminder that City BYLAW 1993-4162 does not allow a person to place snow from a person’s private property onto the road or sidewalk.

Posted No Parking Signs Advising Winter Maintenance:

A reminder that yellow No Parking signs will be posted to notify that winter maintenance will be taking place for daytime operations. Vehicles not complying with these No Parking signs will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense to allow for snow removal.

Winter Parking Ban:

A reminder that the winter parking ban is now in effect and parking on the street is not permitted on any day, between the hours of 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM, from November 1 through April 30.

Priority Sequence for Snow Removal Operations:

Day Operation:

High density residential areas (older section of City: one-ways, narrow streets)

Low density residential areas

Please note: snow removal is never done in the area where waste and recycling collection is taken place.

Night Operation:

Highway sections;

High density commercial sections;

Main arterial routes
