Vehicles Detoured to Wilson Ave. Starting Monday
Please be advised that Algonquin Blvd. will be closed to traffic in both directions starting Monday, May 10 from Mattagami Blvd. South to just west of Theriault Blvd. as Phase 2 of the Connecting Link Segment 5 construction begins.

Traffic, including cyclists, will be detoured down Wilson Ave. with temporary traffic signals installed at the intersection of Wilson Ave. and Cameron St.

Large trucks must use the northern truck detour around Laforest Rd. as they will not be able navigate the Wilson Ave. detour.

Access to businesses and services along this stretch of Algonquin Blvd. West will be maintained using side street entry. Please follow construction signs indicating temporary entrances where applicable.

Effective Monday, May 10, the following stops will not be serviced by Timmins Transit while construction continues:

1711 - Morandin Dry Cleaners on routes 37 and 6

1697 - Speedy Auto Glass and Participark on routes 38 and 7

Measures are in place to make sure the Wilson Ave. detour allows for consistent traffic flow, but please add an additional 15 to 30 minutes to your expected travel time to allow for delays.
