Downtown parking for curbside pickup and deliveries
May 7, 2020 - With the Ontario government announcement, allowing all retail stores with a street entrance to provide curbside pickup and delivery, as well as in-store payment and purchases at garden centre, nurseries, hardware stores and safety supply stores, the City of Timmins is asking any employees working downtown to please use the lots in order to free up on-street parking in the downtown core.

At this time, on-street parking remains free, however, beginning Monday, May 11, Municipal Law Enforcement will begin to enforce the two-hour parking limit.

“We understand that many businesses have had to shut their doors during this unpredictable time, and we need to do what we can in order to facilitate a transition, and a different way of offering their goods and services,” said City Clerk Steph Palmateer. “By ensuring the most on-street parking possible, we are hoping consumers in our community will find some ease in accessing the wonderful local businesses we have in our downtown.”
