All playgrounds and parklands open in Timmins
July 23, 2020 - As Stage 3 reopening in the City of Timmins began last Friday, citizens are reminded to take extra precautions to keep themselves and others safe, while following public health guidelines.

The City is pleased to announce that all playgrounds and parklands cared for by the municipality (48 of which include play structures), have all been reopened.

With the approval of the Porcupine Health Unit, the City was able to announce the opening of the Water Parks/Splash Pads at both White Water and Hollinger Parks on June 17, during Stage 2 of reopenings. Also located at the Hollinger Park and open for business is The Miniputt and Batting Cages, operated by D&M Recreation.

The skateboard parks are open and being well-used. Boat launches are also open, and Gillies Lake beach is open for public use, but not being monitored by a lifeguard.
