Library Book Bike

**Be on the lookout for the Timmins Public Library's new Book Bike! Rolling through a festival or event near you. The Library Book Bike / Vélo-Biblio is the first of its kind in Northern Ontario, offering on-the-spot library card registrations, programming, checkout of library material, digital instruction and more while out and about in our community.**

Bike helmets

Check this out! Cochrane District EMS are bringing the "Brain Save Campaign" to Timmins! When they're not called to service, paramedics will be on the lookout for kids who are wearing a helmet that's fitted properly. If they spot you, you'll get a free coupon for an ice cream cone from McDonald's AND be entered in a draw for a chance to win a new bicycle from Canadian Tire! How cool is that?

Wearing a helmet while cycling can significantly reduce your risk of sustaining a severe brain injury.

So grab your helmet and check out the helmet fitting tips from the Porcupine Health Unit so that you're ready for your next ride!
