Staff at the City or Timmins’ Golden Manor have begun the important work of preparing for resident moves and future room assignments at the new long-term care facility. As construction continues, transition planning and outreach is underway for residents, families, and caregivers.
This week, letters are being distributed to residents and families outlining the move-in process, including anticipated timelines and room types. To help residents and the community better visualize the new home, the City has released resident room renderings and floor layouts that showcase the design, sample furnishings, and living spaces.
As part of the transition process, residents and families will also have the opportunity to provide feedback on room preferences, including floor level, window direction, and preferred roommates or floormates where possible.
Additional updates on tours, move-in schedules, and resident transition supports will continue to be shared over the coming months. The Golden Manor build is nearing 90% completion with resident move-in and final Ministry of Long-Term Care approvals anticipated this fall.
