The City of Timmins Environmental Services Department wishes to advise the public of a planned water control test affecting the following area:

• Mountjoy. All water customers west of the Mattagami River Bridge

Date & Time of Disruption:

• Starting Sept 18 2026 at 7:30pm to 10:00pm
• Work may be extended if more time is required for testing

During this time, customers may experience:

• Low or fluctuating water pressure
• Discoloured water (yellow, brown, or reddish)
• Temporary loss of water
• Air in the pipes (sputtering or spitting when taps are opened)

If you experience discoloured water:

• Do not drink or use discoloured water.
• Run a cold-water tap—preferably an outside tap or cold basement tap—for 5 to 15 minutes until the water runs clear.
• Avoid using hot water and doing laundry until the water is clear.
