On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at approximately 4:38 p.m., the Timmins Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a residence on Kraft Creek Rd. Crews from Stations 1, 3, 4, and 5 were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire using tankers to shuttle the water from a supply established at Timmins Pentecostal Church. The home is considered a total loss.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries to residents were reported. A dog suffered minor injuries and was taken to a veterinarian for care.
An investigation was conducted following the fire, and the incident is not considered suspicious.
The Timmins Fire Dept. reminds residents to ensure working smoke alarms are installed on every level of their home and outside all sleeping areas. Residents should also have a home escape plan that includes a designated meeting place and practice the plan with everyone in their household.
