From May 11, 2025 to May 15, 2025, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that crews will be doing night time sweeping operations in the areas listed below.

Sunday, May 11, Starting 9:00 pm:

Tuesday, May 13, Starting 9:00 pm:

Daytime Sweeping Operations 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

From May 12, 2025 to May 15, 2025, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that crews will be doing sweeping operations in the areas listed below.

Monday, May 12, Starting 7:30 am:
Timmins: Toke (Ross to Dead end), Patricia (Ross to Murray), Hart (Ross to Murray), Diane Crescent.
Porcupine: Kenneth, Collins, Conley St North, Earl St East, Duke St East, Gervais St East.

Tuesday, May 13, Starting 7:30 am:
Timmins: Leone, Hart (Murdock to Ross), Patricia (Eight to Ross), Leone, Howard, Harmony, Burke
Porcupine: Lamarche, Conley St S, Gervais St S, Gauthier, Jarvi, Bob's Lake Drive

Wednesday, May 14, Starting 7:30 am:
Timmins: Cherry, Empire, Murdock, Fifth (Spruce to Hemlock), Hemlock
Porcupine: Mildred, Coott, Dixon, Lovers Lane, Percival, Haileybury, Queen

Thursday, May 15, Starting 7:30 am:
Timmins: Tamarack (Fifth to Ross), Spruce (Sixth to Ross), Eighth (Toke to Cedar)

Friday, May 16, Starting at 7:30 am:
Timmins: Seventh (Toke to Cedar), Ninth (Tamarack to Cedar), Drew (Spruce to Cedar)

Note on the Plan:

The above plan or parts of the plan may be changed at any time and/or delayed if a storm is in effect or related to mechanical issues. Those streets that may not be completed will be completed on the next available sweeping operations shift.

Posted No Parking Signs Advising Road Maintenance:

Public Works would like to remind residents that yellow No Parking Signs will be posted to notify that Road Maintenance will be taking place for daytime operations. Vehicles not complying with these No Parking signs will be ticketed and towed to allow for the Sweeping Crew to advance.

Priority Sequence for Sweeping Operations:

Day Operation:
Sweeping Operations are never done in the area where Waste Collection is taking place.
High density residential areas (Older Section of City: one-ways, narrow streets);
Low density residential areas

Night Operation:
Highway sections;
High density commercial sections;
Main Arterial Routes.

Safety:

A reminder to respect safety signage as the safety of workers is very important.
