Additional Blue Boxes can be purchased at Environmental Services & Public Utilities (171 Iroquois Rd, Timmins) at a cost of $18.50, payable by cash only. Broken boxes will be replaced free of charge.  Please contact Service Timmins  at 705-264-1331 to book an appointment.

Composting

Composters are available at Environmental Services & Public Utilities (171 Iroquois Rd, Timmins) at a cost of $57.50, payable by cash only.  Please contact Service Timmins @ 705-264-1331 to book an appointment. Choose a sunny spot with good drainage and loosen the soil underneath to make it easier for earthworms to move up. Mix or layer browns and greens, keep the pile moist and mix it up occasionally. Be sure not to add any bones or meat that might attract unwanted visitors like bears and squirrels. In time, you will have nutrient-rich compost.
