Areas Covered by the Timmins Fire Department
The Timmins Fire Department services the City of Timmins, including
Mountjoy, South Porcupine, Schumacher, Whitney, Connaught and Timmins. The Department will also respond to some calls outside city limits, according to
need. Each area has one station in order to meet the needs of the
population in that area. The Timmins Fire Department is also equipped to
handle emergency calls at the Victor M. Power Airport.

Timmins (main station):

Built in 1957, the Timmins station operates at both the career and volunteer level with 28 career firefighters (Ward 5).
Mountjoy:

Built in 1983, the Mountjoy station station operates at the volunteer level in Ward 1.
South Porcupine:

Built in 1957, the South Porcupine station operates at the volunteer level and services in Ward 2.
Schumacher:

Built in 1958, the Schumacher station operates at the volunteer level in Ward 3.
Whitney:

Built in 2018 (original hall built in 1947), the Whitney station operates at the volunteer level in Ward 4.
Connaught:

Built in 1998, the Connaught station operates at the volunteer level in Ward 4C.
