Fire Prevention and Safety
The Timmins Fire Department is committed to helping residents, homeowners and business owners prevent fires before they happen. Fire prevention resources include information on smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, safe practices for wood stoves, how to create Fire Safety Plans, and numerous other Fire Prevention and Safety Resources in both English and French.
Each year, the Timmins Fire Department celebrates Fire Prevention Week by sharing a variety of fun activities, safety tip sheets, and directions on how to create a family escape plan to evacuate your home quickly and safely in the event of a fire.
12 Days of Holiday Fire & CO Safety.
The Timmins Fire Department is partnering in the Fire Marshal's "12 Days of Holiday Fire and CO Safety." Each day, beginning December 12, the City of Timmins will post another holiday safety tip to help protect people against seasonal fire and carbon monoxide (CO) risks.
