A Message from Fire Chief Berny Stansa 

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the official web-section of the City of Timmins Fire Department and Emergency Management. This site offers an abundance of history, operations, safety, and emergency information that will be interesting and informative for everyone. 

The City of Timmins has a very unique blend of volunteer and full-time firefighters that serve a total jurisdiction of 3210 square kilometres. This extensive coverage area requires 6 volunteer brigades and 1 full-time station in order to meet the needs of residents. 

The Timmins Fire Department is a team of dedicated professionals delivering a vast array of emergency services to the citizens and visitors of the Timmins area. The Department provides high-level services in the following areas: Public Fire Education. Fire Prevention and Suppression which includes structure fires, vehicle extrication, wildland fires, medical tiered response, airport, water/ice rescue, and hazmat operations. All of our firefighters not only provide these well trained services, but are also involved with local charities and other community events. Our firefighters and other Fire Department staff are committed to continually meeting the needs of citizens, businesses, and visitors of our beautiful community.
