Bio:
My vision for Timmins is a safe, inclusive, prosperous and proud community.
Having been born and raised in Timmins, I have lived in Ward 5 all of my life, and what matters to the residents of Ward 5 is also what matters to me!
I went to school in Timmins, graduating from Northern College with a Business Administration Diploma. I am currently working for the Northeastern Catholic District School Board as their Community Relations Officer. I am married to Christine Reid and enjoy my extended family with her son James and his wife Marnie.
I am currently serving my 6th term as a City Councillor, representing Ward 5 in the City of Timmins. I was first elected in 2000, then re-elected in 2003, 2010, 2014, 2018 and again in 2022.
Throughout my previous terms of office I have had the honour to sit on a wide variety of committees and boards that serve all of the residents of the City of Timmins. I look forward to continue this very important work.
On a personal note, my hobbies (outside of politics) include enjoying spending time at my cottage on Kamiskotia Lake, reading a good book and fishing.
Lastly, my favourite thing about Timmins is the people. We are such a generous and giving community. It is my honour to serve the residents of this community. I look forward to working with the Mayor and my fellow Councillors to make Timmins a better place for all residents to live, work and play.
