If you are a resident of the City of Timmins, you may dispose of leaf and yard waste during the City's annual collection program.
Beginning on Monday, May 06, to Friday, May 17, 2024, Public Works will deploy a dump truck and chipper along residential streets to mulch branches, tree trimmings, and organic plant material from gardening and yard maintenance.
Proper disposal of materials:
Yard waste should be placed in clear bags or heavy-duty brown paper lawn and refuse bags. Any wood or brush placed at curbside for collection should not contain nails, screws, or any other metal objects that can damage equipment. Material should be placed curbside no earlier than two (2) days before scheduled pick-up.
Note on the plan:
Operation days may vary depending on the volume of material. Collection crews will one do one (1) pass through each area. Mechanical issues play a major role in how quickly Public Works can complete operations.
