Canada Day

Canada Day is a day to reflect on what it means to be Canadian. It's an opportunity to not only share what makes us proud to be Canadian, but to celebrate our country and our unique identity.

We've been celebrating Canada Day on July 1 since 1868. The day is meant to highlight the richness of our land, our diversity, our culture, our contributions, but above all, our people. We recognize that for some, this day can be complex. We give space for reflection, not only on our obligations towards truth and reconciliation, but on the importance of diverse experiences and perspectives. Canada Day is also an opportunity to take part in activities that promote healing and inclusivity.
