Project Details:
The proposed bridge will be a single span concrete box girder bridge complete with a sidewalk and barrier wall to enhance pedestrian safety. The single span design also improves the hydraulic flow beneath the bridge allowing water and spring run-off debris to move freely reducing the risk of blockages.
Construction will be phased over two years to accommodate in-water works timing constraints. The westside of the bridge will be removed and reconstructed while the east side of the bridge serves as a temporary one lane bridge detour.
Temporary traffic signals will be installed to help direct traffic throughout the duration of the contract. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the temporary traffic lane, traffic signals, and related safety measures during the winter closure. The bridge is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2027.
