Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee
The Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee (MAAC) advises City Council on matters pertaining to the accessibility of persons with disabilities as set out in the Ontarians with Disability Act (ODA), 2001 and the implementation of accessibility standards as set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005 and Regulations.
The length of term is concurrent with the term of Council. Those interested in joining the committee can fill out the application below and submit to the Clerks Department.
Part of MAAC responsibilities are to conduct site visits at municipally owned buildings Applicants must be available to attend approximately three (3) site visits per year during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The City of Timmins offers a streamlined process for reporting accessibility barriers through the Service Timmins portal.
Residents can report barriers related to City facilities, traffic and pedestrian infrastructure, playgrounds, public parks, and other municipal services or assets.
Reports are directed to the appropriate City department for review and follow-up to ensure accessibility concerns are addressed efficiently and consistently.
