Environmental Services and Public Utilities are responsible for waste management, collection, and maintenance of they city's sanitary landfills.
The City uses an Automated Waste Collection program and curbside collection (see applicable streets) to collect residential waste. The province's enhanced recycling system is managed by Circular Materials.

Instructions:
1. On your regular weekly waste collection day, take your grey waste and blue recycling bins to the curb by 7:30 a.m.
2. Make sure to leave two (2) feet between the bins.
4. Make sure to leave at least three (3) feet between the bins and any obstructions.
5. Make sure the lids open towards the street.
6. Place all acceptable recyclables in the blue bin. Do not pack recyclables tightly or bag them. Cut down cardboard before placing in the blue bin. See Recycling and Composting for more information on acceptable materials.
