Waste Management

Service Update:

Please note that we have discontinued the Timmins Recyclepedia App effective June 1, 2026. Circular Materials is responsible for the collection of recycling, and has developed an app offering similar features:

  • Discover what materials go in your recycling bin
  • Find your recycling schedule
  • Sign up for collection reminders

Download the Circular Materials APP today.

Environmental Services is responsible for waste management, garbage collection, and maintenance of the city's sanitary landfills.

The City uses an Automated Waste Collection program and curbside collection to collect residential waste; applicable streets are listed within the Street Exemptions page.

Recycling is not City-run, but managed by Circular Materials.

Waste Collection Instructions:

1. On your regular weekly waste collection day, take your grey waste bin to the curb by 7:30 a.m.

2. Make sure to leave two (2) feet between your waste and recycling bin.

4. Make sure to leave at least three (3) feet between the bin and any obstructions.

5. Make sure the lids open towards the street.
