Project Details: Following the extension of St. Jean Ave., it was found that the storm system did not fully account for drainage from the north-side properties. A new storm sewer is being installed so that future and existing developments on the north side can connect safely and drain properly.
Ice Chest Lake Rd. has a history of flooding during the spring freshet. The project includes upsizing the culverts to improve water flow, as well as raising the road. Raising the roadway will help prevent water from overtopping the road if the culverts become overwhelmed.
In-water repair work is restricted during spring and early summer months to protect fish spawning and migration. Work to replace the culverts will be scheduled between June and September.
