**SERVICE UPDATE**
Effective Thursday, May 23, 2024, the front entrance to Service Timmins at City Hall will be closed for Connecting Link construction. Residents can access Service Timmins using the accessible side entrance off Cedar St. N. via the elevator to the first floor and Service Timmins.
Service Timmins is also available by phone during regular business hours at 705-264-1331 or online anytime at service.timmins.ca.
Algonquin Blvd. East from Cedar St. to west of Brunette Rd. is the fourth and final downtown segment scheduled for reconstruction and will continue work through the Downtown BIA. The downtown sections of the Connecting Link are priority due to the aging water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure. Segment 8 is part of an approved three (3) year plan that includes removal of the overpass bridge and installation of a new snowmobile crossing adjacent to Hollinger Park.
Work in 2024 will begin by finishing off a small portion of Segment 7 between Balsam St. and Cedar St. This year's construction will include full-depth reconstruction of the roadway, replacement of underground services, and pole relocation.
Once construction begins, detour signs will be clearly visible. We are asking motorists to proceed with caution when traveling through any and all construction areas to ensure safety. Please anticipate delays.
