Using public transportation is a great option while navigating roads with construction and detours. It helps reduce road and traffic congestion, putting less vehicles on the road and helping with the flow of traffic through busy detour routes.
During construction on Segment 13, the following temporary changes to ROUTE 16 transit service will be made:
TRANSIT STOP CLOSURES
- Hwy. 101 E at Tim Hortons (eastbound)
- Hwy. 101 E at Whitney Arena (eastbound)
- Hwy. 101. E at Lawrence (eastbound)
All stops on the north side of Hwy. 101 E will be maintained during the first phase of construction.
Northern College will be serviced by Timmins Transit one time heading eastbound.
The Porcupine Mall will have regular service.
