Mausoleum and Columbarium

MausoleumThe City of Timmins Cemetery Department is proud to announce that the Mausoleum and Columbarium Projects at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery on Pine Street South have been well received by the community.

The mausoleum has/contains 100 mausoleum spaces and the columbarium 72 spaces. The mausoleum and columbarium spaces are priced in the same range or below that of traditional ground burial locations. The columbarium spaces are designed to accommodate two small urns. Both projects have been designed to allow expansion in the future to accommodate further requests.

These projects are a result of requests over the past several years from community members for an above ground alternative to traditional casket or urn burials. Both projects make better use of existing land area and offer granite frontals for engraving memorials. These projects are another example of the initiatives taken by the City over the last few years to improve services at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery including records digitization, row numbering, monument restoration efforts and ground levelling work.
