Waste & Recycling Services

Environmental Services and Public Utilities are responsible for waste management, collection, and maintenance of they city's sanitary landfills and recycling operations.

The City uses both an Automated Waste and Recycling Collection program and curbside collection (see applicable streets) to collect residential waste and recycling.

Sign up for a Collection Reminder by downloading and installing the Timmins Recyclepedia phone app. Click on the "Google Play" button above for Android devices. for Apple devices, use the "App Store" tab.

 


Instructions:

1. On your regular weekly waste collection day, take your grey waste and blue recycling bins to the curb by 7:30 a.m.

2. Your blue recycling bin should be placed to the left of the grey bin.

3. Make sure to leave two (2) feet between the bins.

4. Make sure to leave at least three (3) feet between the bins and any obstructions.

5. Make sure the lids open towards the street.

6. Place all acceptable recyclables in the blue bin. Do not pack recyclables tightly or bag them. Cut down cardboard before placing in the blue bin. See Recycling and Composting for more information on acceptable materials.
