Adopt-a-Block Timmins - Community Cleanup

Two days. Together. Let's clean up our community.

Gather your friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues and help clean up litter in our parks, trails, boulevards, and other public spaces.

Adopt-a-Block is a new community cleanup strategy to help tackle the waste revealed when the winter snow melts. It takes a full community effort to pick up litter and reduce waste. It can be overwhelming - so that's why we're tackling it one block at a time.

Residents, local businesses, and schools will be encouraged to adopt-a-block of space around their neighbourhood, playground, and parks to clean up during the City's Community Cleanup Days on Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Registration is NOW CLOSED. The City will contact each registered team to coordinate cleanup kits with gloves and garbage bags. We will also confirm drop-off locations for all of the collected garbage.

How it works:

1) REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

3) Get cleaning. Our Community Cleanup Days are Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25 before 5:00 p.m.

4) Leave your collected litter in your designated drop-off location before 5:00 p.m. You will be assigned a drop-off location near where you're cleaning. Public Works will collect your waste and dispose of it for you.

5) Share a photo of your cleanup in progress using hashtag #adoptablocktimmins
