Highway 101 - Road Rehabilitation (WEST)
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) will be repaving Hwy. 101 from 0.2 kilometres west of Hwy. 144 to 0.2 kilometres east of Government Rd. This is NOT a City project, but will impact travel to and from Timmins with planned lane reductions.
Impact: Lane reductions only. Watch for traffic control signage. Reduce speed through active work zones.

Watermain Lining - Riverside Dr.
Approximately 2026m of transmission watermain between Shirley St. and the Mattagami River Bridge is being lined to restore aging and corroded waterpipes with a new durable liner. This work is being prioritized in 2026 ahead of planned Connecting Link construction in 2027 and 2028 to reduce the risk of future breaks. The project includes lining of the existing watermains, installation of new water valves to improve system control, and new hydrants to enhance fire protection.

Connecting Link Segment 9
Segment 9 work includes full asphalt restoration, drainage improvements, new curb and sidewalk, new street lights, and intersection upgrades at Brunette Rd. and Hwy. 655. Approximately 700 metres of the city's Connecting Link will be rehabilitated with access to all businesses and properties maintained throughout construction.
Impact: Lane reductions only with phased traffic control. Watch for traffic control signage. Reduce speed through active work zones.

Connecting Link Segment 13
Segment 13 work includes contract includes full asphalt restoration, drainage improvements, new curb and sidewalk, new street lights and traffic signals, upsizing the watermain to accommodate future development, and rehabilitation work on the Crawford Creek diversion culvert. A new sidewalk will be added between Crawford St. and the Porcupine Mall. This is the final year of a two-year project that began in 2025.
Impact: Lane reductions only with phased traffic control. Watch for traffic control signage. Reduce speed through active work zones.

Highway 101 - Road Rehabilitation (EAST)
