Owned and operated by the City of Timmins, the Victor M. Power Airport is one of the largest airports in northern Ontario and operates as a convenient gateway to Toronto as well as northern communities.

Located in the heart of northeastern Ontario, the airport serves a much larger market than just the city of Timmins, handling the air traveler and cargo needs of an encompassing market area of approximately 160,000 people.

Seeing more than 200,000 passengers annually, the Timmins Airport is located approximately 11 kilometers north of the city's business district.  The airport has two runways (a 6,000-foot main runway and 4,900-foot secondary runway), flight service station, precision landing aids, World Fuels station for full aviation and aircraft servicing requirements, and a 24-hour weather reporting operation.

The Timmins Airport serves as an administration and maintenance centre for Air Creebec as well as a base for recreational, business, and private operators.  The airport is an aircraft maintenance and emergency medical transportation hub, and the MNR utilizes the airport as a district base for fighting forest fires.  The airport is also a growing hub for air cargo.

Timmins has become the focal point for transportation and communications as well as some government services for the region.
